It's been a little while since we had the huge economic foul-up years back. With that, manufacturing has greatly increased. However, that doesn't mean things will be as they were before. Frankly, there are significantly less used industrial manufacturing machines on the market. Plus, new machines are consuming a year or longer to build. This has been a real problem for businesses searching for growth with the demand.
With new machines having out of sight prices and huge wait times, many are persuaded to go into the used market. That market has dried up in some areas. Plastic injection molding machines and metal stamping presses in big capacity are extremely hard to find. Smaller machines seem to be to still be accessible. Many jobs utilizing smaller machines have been outsourced to China or Mexico. So, the US demand for those machines has lowered and they are quite common. Even the machinery used to transfer machines into place have become more rare on the used market. Versa Lift forklifts are some of the preferreds of relocating and rigging providers. However, their build time is about 2 years now and they are almost challenging to locate used. Large capacity forklifts on the used market are both rare and high priced due to the high demand. A few have found them at auctions, yet they were no good deal. Particularly with the incredibly high buyer and seller premiums (which I find have gotten outrageous). Both the buyer and seller often end up dissatisfied with the costs when using an auction house.
